Thank you for being such an inspiration to many of us. Your will and humor are humbling. I'm glad to hear you have your employer's support. Wishing you all the best that can be.

You have a remarkable sense of humor. That goes a long long way. I love the hand grenade visual. How much did those suckers weigh anyway?
Hope the radiation and chemo goes as smoothly. All the best.

That should have been:
You're way way cool girl!
I mistakenly put a question mark at the end.
Sorry about that.
Mike
I double triple and quadruple mike's comment!
Kathy
You're way way cool girl?
Good luck,
Mike
{{{{{{ Izzy, Marcia, Elaine, Eric, Brent and Kathy }}}}}}} Hugs to you all and many thanks for the kind and encouraging words you have expressed.
I finally got the drains removed yesterday and today I'm so comfortable that I want to fall in a heap and weep tears of joy. Went to the oncologist the other day and she opened my shirt and snorted with laughter. "You look like a terrorist!" she exclaimed beteen between bursts of laughter. I hadn't thought about it so I was laughing too. Here I was with 4 clear rubber hand grenades strapped to a velcro belt and tubes going everywhere. Gosh, that was hell.
Someone said to me that I should be glad that I went through HCV tx because I'll breeze through chemo and it reminded me of one of the people who drove some of us nuts. Who remembers the guy who made a post that he was grateful that he had HepC? Yeah, I think I was on the list of people who wanted to stick pins in a voodoo doll in his honor.
I start chemo on Dec 1 and go for a neupogen shot the next day. I managed to avoid rescue drugs through tx so I reckon this is gonna be a tad worse. I have four dose dense chemo treatments every two weeks and the doctor said I will wish I was dead during this phase. After that, I think I have seven more chemo treatments at a lower dose (still not sure of frequency) and then I start radiation.
My employer has already said they will waive FMLA regs and my job will be waiting for me when I get back - a huge relief!
I'm going camping on Wednesday for the Thanksgiving weekend. Gonna go savor a little more of that wonderful life I found after HCV and to ready myself to kick the cancer B1TCH to the curb.
Thanks again to everyone!
