six months post tx svr .. !!!! yay !!!

hi everyone ,
yes!!!... my doctor told me that i am cured !!! this is the third time i have treated and finally the words i wanted so badly to hear ..
my enzimes have been elevated for 30 years sometimes as high as 1200. my type1 a hep c had progressed to stage 2 b and my liver was inflamed beginning to be surrounded in fluid ..i felt unwell ...
so i gave it one more chance ..this time adding incivek to the interferon and riba... i was scared and a little doubtful ..it was a painful 6 months for me and six months later i am still recovering and am now being told it takes at least a  year to recover from treatment ... the inflamation and fluid are gone and my enzymes have been normal ever since i stopped tx !!  i have been very depressed but i know i will pull out of it as i get back into shape .. the best part is i got a job !!! life is starting to shape up all around !!
..i would like to thank everyone for helping me through this and welcome any questions or comments ...i wish you all the best !!
much love form the other side ....red

What great news.  I hope your recover does not take a year -- that is a long time.  The fluid around your liver -- that makes it sound like you were more like stage 4 than 2.  Could that be?

Great news on the job too
