Awesome! Me too. This isn't so bad, right??

I'm so happy for you and proud of your success! I am pleased to report that I am still not smoking and think of it less each day.
It was really hard all last week, and I may have lost a few friends:), but overall, I have this pride and commitment to continue.
Just don't give in, one day at a time, you CAN do this. My "sinus" problem has disappeared and my voice already sounds better (to me, but that's all that counts!)
Good Luck!!!

jmjm530 - Thanks for the site
Fl_Gator - Thank you for sharing your grandmother's story. Another day down, and still not smoking.
Well, I THINK that these are the true "Words of Spiritualness" that make ME better than YOU! And I'm smarter and prettier too!
Armaments, chapter two, verses nine through twenty-one.
Cleric: [reading] And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade, that with it thou mayst blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy." And the Lord did grin. And the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths, and carp and anchovies, and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats and large chu...
Brother Maynard: Skip a bit, Brother...
Cleric: And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
Brother Maynard: Amen.
All: Amen.
I quit 10 years ago...when I was having trouble breathing...It took me 5 years to recover but I am much better now.
FYI...My grandmother is a long time smoker...she is 88 and has lung cancer, emphysema and macular degeneration...all of which has been linked to smoking. Two weeks ago she was hospitalized with a collapsed lung. This is no way to spend your last days...I believe that she would have lived to be 100 or more if she hadn't started smoking as there is longevity in her family...before the cancer she was very active...ran her own home drove herself everywhere...cut her own grass...funny how we don't learn from our elders how to take care of ourselves.
Please quit ASAP...not only is lung cancer a horrible death...it's torturous for your loved ones to watch as someone you love will have to take care of you at some point. My mother is caring for my grandmother right now. She puts up a good front but I can see the strain in her eyes as she watches her mother slip away no matter what she does.
