smoking for post liver transplant

hi to everyone! just wanna ask if smoking cigarettes are are ok or it does'nt affect patient of post liver transplant.
My husband is now six months post transplant, everything were ok except that he cannot avoid smoking even 3 stick max a day. I keep on reminding him but he cant follow, what are the best things to do pls.

I smoke. I wish I didn't.  It's never OK to smoke but...even though we know better. Certainly it can't be good for you in any way.

Sorry I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to wish you luck.  The patch works pretty great and I would have thought in the hospital they would have put it on while he was there.  NO luck?  It's so hard. It's so very very hard.

I wish you the best luck with him quitting.....and me too and everybody else addicted to those rotten things!

There is a mold found on tobacco and pot plants called aspergillosis that causes a frequently fatal infection. All smoking is out of the question to post transplant patients.
