Blood no, organs yes.

Because they would have to run two PCR's on the blood. That would get way to expensive. Can you imagine the cost?

It’s a word game. For some reason they like to use SVR instead of the word cure.
In most of our opinions, if you are SVR (Undetected 6 months after treatment) you are cured.
At this point you are just like everyone else except, you no longer have HCV but you will always have the Antibodies. HCV antibodies are not the same as HCV.
To answer your question, NO, you can not cause someone else to become infected.
Like Trinity said, you are not immune to getting re-infected. If you have A&B antibodies you are immune to A&B but it doesn’t work with that way with C.
Mike S. explained it to me like this (Mike, correct me if I am wrong). HCV is constantly changing to fight your antibodies. In return your antibodies constantly adapting to fight your HCV. This would make them almost useless in fighting off a new infection. Even if it is the same Gen. Type you previously had.
But relapsing after SVR (cured) is very rare.

You can't give it to someone but you are not immune as is the case for most with hepa and hepb.  You can become infected again.  Just wanted to point that out.
Glad to hear you have remained virus free -  good luck

That is correct. You cannot give it to someone, if you don't have it anymore!

Congratulations on getting rid of the dragon!!!!
