My husband and I raised our kids not knowing we both had hep C. We did the things parents do, caring for them while they were sick, tending to their boo-boos, preparing and serving their food. Neither of them have hep C.
Unless you start gushing blood, I wouldn't worry about it.
I waitressed for years and years and didn't have any idea that I had Hep c. the answer is that I don't see why not
Just know where the band aids are
Ditto what all the others have said. You should be able to do whatever job you want with hep c. It is transmitted blood to blood only, and yes, most of us are very careful if and when we do get a cut, etc.
I dont see why waitressing should stop you. As long as there is no transfer of blood to another person.
I agree with cj. I actually feel that the majority of folks who know they have hep C are much more careful, hygienically, then people without.
I don't see why not, unless you're on treatment and it is completly draining. HepC is passed through blood to blood contact, so unless you're going around stabbing people with needles you've stabbed yourself with you're good to go. There are couples on this list who have slept together, had intimate relationships together, etc. and one is hepc positive and the other isn't, close contact will not transmit hepc.
