I doubt that both of your values were exactly .90. Negative is anything below .90, are you sure that's not what it says? At any rate, even if they are both .90, that is negative and we expect significant variation in negatives over time.
You don't have antibody in your system if you are reporting these correctly. If you had antibody in your system, you would have herpes.
I'm not clear why you are worrying about getting herpes when you boyfriend's herpes test is negative?
So I am right in understanding that both your yeast and BV infections are now gone?
Terri
The values that matter here are the IgG values, not the IgM values. I would discount the IgM values completely until you have a positive IgG value.
I have some questions for you:
1) why did you have a herpes test done?
2) has your partner been tested for herpes? What was his result?
3) How long before your had the IgM testing done did you have sex with anyone else?
4) What was your yeast infection/bacterial infection like for you? Were you treated, how did that go?
Thanks for answering, I'll pop back soon to see what you wrote.

Hello Terri,
I recently received my test results for HSV I & II and my results were the following: HSV IgM I/II Combination: 3.98 High, HSV 1 IgG Type is 0.90, and HSV 2 IgG Types is 0.90, which indicates negative for IgG. However, my results back in 2009 were HSV IGM AB Screen: Detected, HSV IGM AB Titer: >=1:160, HSV 1 IGG Type Specific AB 0.25, and HSV 2 IGG Type Specific AB 0.24. My numbers have elevated, should I be alarm? Ive had the same partner for 5 years...I have three auto-immune diseaes lupus, ulcerative colitis, and raynaud could that affect the elevation or numbers?...I was told that that antibodies are in my system but I dont have herpes but then i was told i have herpes , so confuse...Ive never had a coldsore, feverblister or bumps in the vaginal area besides the normal hair bump. I did ask my doctor what is the difference between a hair bump and a herpes bump and I was informed that a herpes bump is very sore and it will not rupture if you tried to pop it e.g. no blood no puss but a hair bump will... but I know Herpes can go dormant for years in your body. 1.) I decided to have a full std test done so the herpes test was included, 2.) Yes, my parter was tested for herpes and his results were negative, 3.) My boyfriend and I have sex on the regular so probably a week prior to the testing, 4.) My yeast and bacteria infection was the worse! When one went away the other one came..this went on for about a month...I did change up my eating habits and began working out more! Plus where I live the heat index is TERRIBLE!.At one point, I had white cottage cheese type discharge coming out of me somewhat reminded me of tissue. My GYN doctor prescribed Diflucan and Metrogel which eventually cleared up the yeast and bacteria havent had a problem since. My concern with that is the risk of getting HPV again. I was diagnosed with HPV in 2005 the type that caused cervical cancer, and In 2009, I had a Cryosurgery done and on my last three paps the HPV was negative plus I did get the gaurdasil shot. I just dont want to re-live this process all over again. Any advice on how to prevent getting herpes besides wearing condoms? and HPV?
Yes, the yeast and BV are both gone.
Good. But could ou answer my question above?
