If you are going to test again, this would be too soon for accuracy. You need to wait about four months from the encounter to be the most accurate. How long have you now been off the creams?

Terri - thank you so much for your response. Yeah, there has been no change in at least the last 2 weeks, possibly 3. It seems to be more irritated after I shower and dry off (because I'm rubbing it with a towel maybe) but anything time I literally cannot feel a thing. No itching, no pain, not even tingling. When I pull my foreskin back I don't feel any irritation either. It seems to be only cosmetic. The localized redness and very minor swelling, also my entire penis seems to be warmer than usual (this could be my imagination but who knows at this point). So you're saying there is a chance it could be herpes and that the creams have keeping it active? It's been exactly a month now since the encounter that has me worried, would it be worth it to get another blood test done Monday?

I can understand why you are concerned. However, it doesn't sound like herpes to me, no. The antibody test is too early to be definitive, however. Herpes would be unlikely to go on for three weeks with no change. Normally, herpes would go through a cycle of getting worse, then better, but that doesn't sound like what is going on with you. Also, the creams that you are applying would likely make herpes worse. My only little concern here is that, depending upon the timing, is that there is a remote chance it could be herpes, and the steroid creams are keeping it active. I just don't know. Let's see what happens when you totally discontinue the creams. Wish I could be more definitive about this. I think it is really unlikely that is herpes, however.
