I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo oopherectomy in 6/06. In 11/06, I had an enterocele/rectocele repair.
I always feel stool pressing on my internal anal sphincter muscle, and my G.I. Doc examined me & said I have no nerve sensation in the internal anal sphincter muscle. It is not sending messages to the brain to relax.
I had a dynamic proctography & the doctor that ran the test told me that everything just drops to the bottom and sits there, and I have no urge to defecate.
The only way I pass stool, is the bowel is so full, that it forces the muscle to open, and it seems like it clamps shut, after just a small amount of stool passes.
My stools began to narrow in 11/05, and my Gyne & I thought I was trying to push stool past a fibroid, but the problem has not improved.
Any ideas on what I should do next?
My back pain is intensified when there is stool in the bowel.
Thank You, in advance.
