Crohn's and Colitis Forum

Hi there.  I find that the gastroenterology forum is way too busy.  If you post a question it has been pushed to another page within hours and then doesn't get answered.  I wondered if it might be best to break off a few separate forums with Crohn's and Colitis being one to start with.

Thanks, Trudie

Would it be possible to have you pin an announcement of this change to the top of the Gastroenterology Forum?  Anyone who has been coming to this forum for Ulcerative Colitis will not know about the merge to the Crohn forum.

Thank you.

Hi,

Good idea to merge the two. We just made the Crohn's community a Crohns & Ulcerative Colitis community. Thanks for the suggestion.

MedHelp, could the Crohn's community be expanded to include Ulcerative Colitis?  They are usually grouped together.

I just find it frustrating.  There is a big difference between someone with Crohn's or Colitis and GERD.  Thanks for the info on the Crohn's community but I am an ulcerative colitis survivor and my son is now having active disease and really need support in that area.  It would be helpful if we could even divide the forum between intestinal issues and non-instestinal.

Hi .. just wanted to stop by and mention there is a Crohn'sCommunity with a CL in Crohn's who has had it for 30+ yrs.    It would be great to direct the posts within the GI to her community.  If anybody sees any, feel free to send them over there .... that is what I do when I go over to GI sometimes, too.  I have history of kidney & gallstones so I try to help out and/or recommend other communities sometimes to the members in there.

Within a couple of hours your posting is off the page.  We need to create more focused forums for this area.
