why are calories changing after I add food?

I scanned some food items today to add to my daily intake but nothing came up so I decided to add them to the food directory. I add all the info in as much as possible just by going off the label and hit save but when I go back to add them to my daily, I've noticed the number of calories has changed. This has happened every time i have tried adding food. Why is this happening?

Hi there,

I'm sorry you are having problems with the app. It would be really helpful if you also could tap on Settings in the app (either by tapping on the 3 bars at the top to open the menu or on Settings at the bottom of the app, or on your phone in Android), then Support, and send us an email. If you could say "yes" when it asks you to send data, we will be able to check things out from our end. If you need more specific instructions for your app on your device, just let us know, as these are general instructions.

This will allow us to capture your data, and what type of device you use the app on, and what version of the app you are having. If you could type in the email that you posted here, and a brief explanation of the issue, that would be great. If you have some specifics of what hasn't synced, that would be great, too.

We appreciate it, and apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Thanks!

Steph

Just to clarify, I'm adding the food into the directory first with the nutritional info that's on the food label. When I go back to add that item into my diary, the number of calories that I had entered has changed.

For example, I will add an item like butter and herb mashed potatoes from betty crocker with 160cal per 1/2c serving (as it says on the label). I will hit the save button and then go into my diary to add the item as part of my meal. The only problem is, now it says 84cal per 1/2c serving. This isn't correct and is throwing my calorie intake off.
