Medhelp needs a moderator

I think the site needs someone to moderate, there are numerous rude posts from mebers and that is not acceptable. especially in the 18 - 34 pregnancy forum lately...

I have found that what has helped stop rude posters in the past is by sending them a friendly note welcoming them and telling  them that you are glad they are a member of the forum, but something they said could come off as offensive. If the rude comment was directed at you, you could send a note asking if there is something you did to upset them. This clears up most of the rudeness. Then you have the devilish evil members that there intent is to harm and a moderator needs to handle them.

I hope this helps!

We have moderators, and I'm sorry that there are rude posts.  We will certainly check it out, but we do rely on our members to help us.  If you see a post that you think is abusive, please report it using the drop down menu on every post, and we will review them all.

We really do want MH to be safe and supportive for everyone.

Emily

What is the process to become a moderator? Is there somewhere I can read about the responsibilities and expectations of a moderator? I have several years experience in being a moderator.
