Hi, Sorry if this has already been addressed, but can someone explain to me why the maximum number of steps (for daily count of steps from a pedometer) is 1400? I tried to enter my total, and a message in red said the max value is 1400.
I don't think this makes much sense. An average stride is about 2.5 ft, so 2.5 ft = 1 step. 1 mile is approx 5283 ft. So I would think (and my pedometer agrees) that 1 mile = 5283/2.5 or about 2113.2 steps.
Maxing the number of daily steps to 1400 is like saying we can't walk more than 2/3 of a mile.
Again, I could be wrong or this could have already been pointed out, either way, I look forward to the answer!
Thanks.
