New Pop Up Ads

I began receiving these new pop-up ads this morning at an alarming rate. Meaning, each time I go out of a post and each time I go from one forum to the next. I do quite a bit of posting in both the Addiction Social and The Addiction Abuse communities so I am getting hit with them quite frequently as I toggle along. Is there anyway to stop these ads other than the "Skip This Ad" feature? I do skip them but by then it is too late as I am already interrupted. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Whew.  As bugs go, that was a fairly quick fix, IMO.

I'm not privy to the official MedHelp long-term plan, but I think it's a safe bet that the initiative, "annoy our members so they flee in droves" isn't anywhere to be found in it. :)

I am also relieved that this is NOT going to be the "new normal" on MedHelp.  A few times this morning when I went to read posts, the entire screen was taken up by an ad (that didn't even load, btw) with a timed "skip ad" button at the top that made me wait several seconds before allowing me to close the ad window.

I was already thinking of abandoning the site over this, so I'm quite relieved that this is not intentional.  While I've enjoyed years on this site and find it very useful, and while I understand a free site needs to generate revenue through ads, pop-ups that force you to watch ads before reading posts would certainly be a deal breaker for me!

Hi, wanted to ad that I'm also having this diversion and so far on the pregnancy relationships page and even this one.  it is diverting me to an ad for the Mayo clinic.  Taking over the whole page.  Ugh.

Well it sure is GRAND to read this is NOT intentional.....even going from your home page into a note......or clicking on someone's status from your homepage brings these ad delay interruptions.

We shall be patient......can't tell you how glad I was to read it is going to be fixed!!!!!!  Thank you~

The good news is that this is NOT intentional.  It's been reported and hopefully will be fixed soon.
