8 cell embryo but no pregnancy
Hi,
I have been doing ART now for two years. My husband has low morphology. No issues have been identified with me however, we've had no success with pregnancy. We tried on our own, unsuccessfully; we did 3 failed IUIs; then we moved to IVF. First IVF embryo quality was poor no pregnancy resulted; another with a tiny bit better embryo quality (these are my opinions), and a early m/c (9 weeks); and then we had much better quality with our third, but still very slow progressing embryos. We did a day 6 transfer of three embryos (some were just turning to the morula and blasts. We got pregnant but lost it due to severe chromosomal abnormalities which created HPE (severely). We tried on our own for 4-5 months and had one chemical pregnancy.
Just this January we tried IVF again. This time we had a day 3 transfer with three embryos - 2 6 cell and 1 8 cell. We did not get pregnant at all.
Is there anything you'd suggest for us? I am afraid to try on our own because of the morphology issue. Do you think this is legitimate to any degree?
Thoughts on the embryo quality in the first few attempts?
Thoughts on why this last cycle didn't work despite the near perfect embryo?

It is difficult to advise you precisely because I do not know your history in detail.
I feel that you still have a chance with IVF/ICSI because of your response. The limiting factor would be your age and if you are over 44 years of age, I would consider donor egg/IVF.
What is encouraging is that you get pregnant in the past despite one biochemical and one chromosomal.
I do not know where you are doing IVF but if it is the San Francisco Bay Area, or if you are willing to travel I can make some recommendations for an IVF Center.
