reversal of tubal

I am a 39. I had my tubes tied in 1999,in 2002 I went to try to have the proceedure reversed and was told that there was to much of the tube was cut. I was wondering if there was anything new that might allow  me to have my tubal reversed. My husband and I would like to have a chid together. We both have children from pryor relationships.

Well I'm not sure why this Dr. said it wasn't reversable--they are. You have to find a surgeon that is trained in JUST this field. I had a reversal performed, but I only went to the BEST. Make sure their excellent or don't let them touch your tubes!

I now have 6in (Right) 3 1/2in (Left). Please be aware that this is not a quick solution. All things have to be considered. How much tube you have left will greatly affect how long it takes you to get pregnant. Are you with only 1 tube. All things are possible, I've talked to women who got pregnant with 1-2 in only (Both sides). Age also is a factor. I stopped ovulating months after the reversal for unknown reasons and I'm now on fertility meds, including injections.

I presume that you did see someone who does the tubal reversal all the time. In which case, there are times where there just is not enough tube to reverse.
I have good news for you--that is why in vitro fertilization was invented--to help women just in your situation who have tubal issues. I suggest seeing a specialist in IVF for a consultation especially since you are 39 years old.
