First off, I want to inform you that I have been diagnosed with Interstitial Cystitis and have had consistent UTI's since I was 5 years old. Three days ago, I noticed a gradual discomfort as a UTI was setting in. Since I don't have health insurance due to this pre-existing condition, I drank a ton of water and took OTC bladder relief pills (similar to urimax). This morning, I woke up with a lot of pain. I felt like my bladder was painfully too full and immediately had to use the restroom. I spent the next 2 hours in the restroom urinating fire. I have a sharp pain that comes and goes in my lower right abdomen. It hurts the worst on my lower back then it does on my front side of the abdomen. I also have a dull pain that aches constantly now. My lower right abdomen also feels "tight" almost as if there is some swelling. Is this possibly a kidney infection or just a part of Interstitial Cystitis? Are there any home remedies in order to avoid going to the doctor? (P.S. I managed to find a whole bottle of macrobid that I started taking today along with the bladder relief pills.)
Thank you so much for your help. If you have an online source for your answer, please provide that as well. :)
