How to help with trouble breathing.....?

recently i went to the ER because i was the doctors office and he was concerned i was having a pulmonary embolism. They did an emergency CT scan which showed extensive pulmonary bullaes in the upper lobes of both lungs and a few small ones in the lower lobes, the ER doctor said there was nothing she could do that it would go away on its own but when i went back to my cardiologist he was concerned and wants me to see a lung doctor im still waiting on the paper work and ive been having trouble breathing which is common for what is going on but the doctor didn't tell me how to make the breathing easier ive tried sitting Straight up, not laying on my back but its not helping also its hurting my chest sometimes to breath which im not sure is normal but neither are my doctors either... i guess my question is there like any position or something i could try to make my breathing easier when it gets hard to breath... any help would be greatly appreciated thanks so much

Do you smoke?  These findings on your CT are usually indicative of emphysema.  smoking accounts for the vast majority of emphysema, but there are other causes including a genetic disorder that can be treated.  You should see a pulmonologist to sort this out.
