Anyone MRI?

Has anyone here had an MRI for a diagnostic tool for their migraines?  I have had an MRI done and it is showing some increased FLAIRS for which they are saying could be due to the migraines.  I don't have them that often so that is why I am concerned

Hi,

There are some studies which show that  migraineurs or persons suffering from migraines do present with some remarkable MRI findings."... Female migraine patients are at increased risk of deep white matter lesions, independent of the effects of cardiovascular risk factors. The influence of migraine severity (attack frequency) on the risk of both types of lesions suggests a causal relationship between migraine severity and lesion load. Future studies are needed to assess whether these (probably) ischemic lesions have relevant (long-term) functional correlates."

So there seems to be an association between MRI findings and migraine headaches. Have you had any episodes of headaches before?

What was the indication for your MRI?

What were your signs and symptoms?

I had an MRI, Ct scan AND several xrays done for my migraines. i get them a lot. the MRI and Ct scan both came back fine.... the xrays showed that i have extra fluid in my sinuses, which was later diagnosed as sinusitis.
