I suffer from chronic migraines in the back of my head & down my neck since a car accident 6 months ago. Since then I have spent days at a time in the bed due to the pain from my migraines. I never know when they are coming and nothing in particular causes them to come on. I can just raise my head off the pillow in the morning and a migraine will slam me. I can turn my head to look at something and it will trigger one. Sometimes the migraine will last a couple of hours or it could last days; The longest lasting 17 days. I haven't been able to go back to work since my car accident (May 24, 2017) because of the migraines and dizziness. I have exhausted all time off so they have terminated my position. I can't see anyone hiring me with these migraines. I might show up to work, get hit with a migraine and be down for days. I wouldn't be a reliable employee to show up each day. I wouldn't be able to look at a computer screen for 8 hours (my work history is reception work at doctor offices/hospitals) while clicking back and forth between screens and scanning for information. My whole life has changed because of these migraines. I'm miserable. Having migraines is not my only medical reason to file for disability. I also have idiopathic neuropathy. I have no feeling in both legs from the hips down. This causes severe pain while walking and balance issues. Some days just the thought of putting my feet on the floor is enough to make me cry.
