what is wrong with me??

hi my name is mandi i am 20 yrs old and for the last 2 weeks i have been having seriously bad head pains on the right side on the top of my head which sometimes effect my ear it hurts so bad it even hurts to walk i went to er last night 9/23/08 and the cat scan didnt show anything they sent me home with medication called isometh-d-chloraphenz-apaptip for migranes which did not work nothing is helping this it is so bad its making me confused feeling, im really scared and depressed wondering whats going on with me my body is telling me something is wrong and i need answers can you please help me

Thanks for writing in.
Sudden severe pain on one side of the head with ear ache raises the suspicion of severe ear infection. I would suggest you get an ENT exam done to rule out ear infections. Since your CT scan is clear and migraine meds are not helping you, other possibilities like neuralgias and cluster headaches also need to be kept in mind.
Is it a dull ache or sharp stabbing one?

I would just see your general physician and get a referral for a neurologist. i have been going thru something much similar thing for 3 months and i have been on 4 diff. meds and none of them worked. but dont lose faith just go to the doctor something will end up working.
