PLEASE HELP ASAP???

Hello, My daughters mother has been suffering from long lasting migraines. Also to add to the migraines, she has been fainting or blacking out . What might be the cause of her pain? She is scared of the doctors and is very hard to convince to see her doctor asap. All she does is keep taking excedrin and hoping it will go away. This has been going on for 2 weeks now.  Please help. Any answers would be appreciated.

Hi,
She needs to get her blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked which could cause the fainting spells. You need to convince her to see a physician. Is she sleeping well? Is there any cause of stress that might be precipitating her headaches. Her eyesight needs to checked and sinusitis ruled out too. Tell her to try breathing exercises and yoga. Adequate sleep and hydration is also important. Goodluck.

Hi,
Thereis a possibility that her headaches and fainting spells are due to migraine. But she needs to undergo complete physical and neurological examination to rule out other causes.
If excedrin is not working and it is indeed migraine the doctor can prescribe other medications. There are a lot of treatment options for migraine.
You have to convince her somehow to consult a doctor. Good luck!
