Headache on the left side of my head?

I've occasionally been having this sharp throbbing pain on the left side of my head and inside my left ear for the past 3 days. I get this pain every time i touch the top left of my head, jump, or do any movements that will jerk my head. I've never even taken aspirin or any sort of medication for headaches before because its very rare that my head hurts and if it does, it does not bother me, but the one I am experiencing now is quite bad.

Does this sound like something serious? It has not gotten better or worse since it started 3 days ago. I am a recent college graduate in economics and have been unable to find a job so I do not have health insurance until the beginning of next year when I have health insurance with my mother until I turn 26 years of age.

Hi,
If your white blood cells are high and above the normal values, this could indicate an infection and antibiotic may be indicated. Headaches may be associated with some infection as mentioned previously. It is best that you discuss the results of your blood test with your doctor for proper management. Take care always.

Recently i was told my white blood cell level was high and now daily i get a headache on the left side. Are the two related

Hi,
How are you? One-sided throbbing pain may be caused by migraine headaches. This is also associated with nausea, vomiting and sensitivity to light and sound. Other possible causes include exertion headache and infection. You may  also benefit from evaluation by an ear doctor.  Take care and do keep us posted.
