Headache

Hello, I'm 16 and I have had a headache for the past 2 weeks, I've read up on the Internet and my syptoms seem to link more to tension type headaches, as I'm getting the pain in my neck, back of my eyes but there's no specific place the headache is, mostly in the back of the head. But I wanted someone elses opinion. But also I put into account that I have been in the process of nearly finishing my exams and job hunting which maybe be causing the stress and also, I feel as though I'm straining my eyes as I wear glasses already but only for reading and watching tv etc.
Would I need to go see my GP? Please helpp!

Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good to hear that you are feeling better. A headache journal or  the headache tracker in this forum will also be very helpful in identifying the possible triggers that you could  avoid. If there is no history of trauma and considering your age, it may just be a primary headache. However, if it recurs regularly and other symptoms arise, it is best that you see your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care always.

Hi,
How are you? Your symptoms could indeed be due to tension headache which is often associated with stress. Visual fatigue is often associated with symptoms such as blurred vision, eyestrain, eyes that sting or burn and the headaches are usually felt at the end of the day. Rest, ice pack, pain medications and avoidance of triggers or stress may help provide relief. If these do not work, have this checked by your doctor for proper management. Take care and do keep us posted.
