Strange headache

I've been getting painful headaches when I physically tense up to do something, sort of like an isometric movement. The intense pain subsides, but there's a residual headache that lasts for several hours.

Hi,
How are you? Tension headaches are associated with dull, non-throbbing pain, associated with tightness of scalp or neck. This type of primary headache is mainly due to stress. Rest, ice packs, avoidance of stress, muscle relaxants and pain medications may help provide relief. If it persists, check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.

I am not trying to scare you, but it's about time to see your doctor. It could be nothing serious, but better to be safe than sorry.
