Headaches w/ new symptoms all the time

I am a 21 yr old female. Almost a year ago I started have daily headaches. They weren't extremely painful in nature-they were more like a lot of pressure all over my head, felt like my "head was in the clouds". CT scans and MRIs have all been normal, I have seen many doctors. Since the headaches have started, many other symptoms keep slowly popping up. Now I am experiencing extreme fatigue everyday. It is a weird sort of fatigue though. Like if I were to lay down and try to sleep I wouldnt really be able too-it feels like my heart rate is going to fast to actually fall asleep. I also have had a few times where I felt as if i was going to faint. I sometimes experience numbness in my hands and a sort of shakiness, also. Its just everyday i wake up feeling terrible- tired, with a headache, and slightly nauseous, and it all comes and goes all day. The newest symptom is lately i have felt like there is a ton of pressure in my head- my ears feel like they need to constantly pop (and do every time i swallow). My neurologist now has me on topamax for headaches, florinef for the fainting, and the stimulant provigil to keep me awake. None of these things are helping anything.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi.

Your symptoms appear to be nonspecific that is they consist of symptoms that may be explained by a variety of disease. Thus, it is best to exclude an underlying systemic or generalized disease process. Before a diagnosis of migraine or tension headache is given, a complete medical history and physical examination should be done to rule out other possible conditions that could have led to the condition.

I suggest that you have your thyroid and parathyroid functions assessed.

Hormonal imbalance brought about by problems in these organs may manifest with headaches, fatigue and tremors.

Discuss this with your physician and see if these tests may shed some light on your case.

Ashley,
chech out electro hyper sensitivity on the web -- you might be reacting to cell phone, cordless phone, wireless router or gaming system radiation.   If you are sensitive to these the best advice is to turn them off (at least as an experiment to see if it helps you feel better).   Once the central nervous system is over exposed to radiation -- even electronic devices can give us bad reactions -- anyway you might explore this possiblity.

Best of luck-- let us know if it helps!
