Hi,
Thanks for the update. Cluster headaches do last for weeks and management is done with oxygen, medication or intranasal application of local anesthetic agent. However, for proper diagnosis, check with your doctor. Direct clinical examiantion is essential. Take care always.
Thank you for responding so quickly, I am so glad I found this place.. Well I must be getting cluster headaches, that what it sounds like. Yes, after I stopped my anti-depressants, I could not drink coffee, (I only had one cup in the am anyway) the smell of it made me nauseaus. So it has been three weeks .. Also, I have not been sleeping, so I did go and get a good NEW MATTRESS. I made an appt for a chiropractor ( this monday) and also a neurologist.( in Feb). I cannot keep going like this, something has got to help. Thank you so much, I will keep you updated..
Hi,
How are you? Can you describe the headache? Does it respond to rest alone or pain medications? Aside from eye issues and primary headaches ( such as migraine, cluster or tension headaches), other possible causes include caffeine withdrawal, discontinuation of analgesics. In particular, cluster headache begins as a severe, sudden headache and may tend to occur at the same time of day. The headache may also strike while sleeping. If it persists, check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
