itchy ear

Had for a while a very itchy ear which drive me insane at times. I got hold of some fatty ointment which seems to work, but I like to know what it is without having to race all over the place .

Do you have TMJ on that side?

Mine itches too and I know it's becauSe of my TMJ. The ENT also suggested dry skin but it's on my painful/bad side of my jaw and the nerves go into the ear area.
