Constant back of head pain anxiety related?

I get these horrible pains in the back of my head. Its not the regular forehead headache, or temple pains, its in the back of my head by my neck. It feels like someone is squeezing my head in a vice. Its this tremendous pressure. Anyone know what it could be? Thanks.

I did go to a neurologist, and have had multiple tests at the ER when I went there for my head pain twice in the same week last month, they did EKG. EEG, chest x-rays, head x-rays, CT scans, blood tests, you name it. Everything came back fine.I don't really worry too much, just when I get a small sharp pain somewhere I start to think what if I get a panic attack now, or what if I get more pain, or what if I have a heart attack.... stuff like that.  It goes away fast though, so I am not constantly worrying.

Hi,

One thing to consider here is a tension headache. This usually presents as a nonpulsating headache associated with neck or shoulder muscle tightness. However, this is only a differential .This may not sound urgent but an initial consult with a neurologist will be able to guide you.A complete medical history and physical examination are important in obtaining a diagnosis.

Keep a healthy lifestyle, drink lots of fluid, do some stretching and relaxation exercises and keep yourself from unnecessary worrying ( does this apply?).

Keep us posted for anything ok?
