Ever since I was a kid. My twin and I always got hurt. We were active, and scrapes, burns, cuts and so on hurt like they should. I know we don't have CIPA. It's just when I broke my arm in 1st grade, and never felt anything nor noticed it until my mom saw it twisted the next day. As I got older I somehow tore all the lateral ligaments in my left ankle with the exception of the PFT which was barely intact. This happened in 1996 but I wasn't aware of it til 2002, until a random checkup and eventually had tendons graphed to replace the missing ligaments. 2 yrs later I hyperextended my right knee, breaking where the thigh bone connects to the knee and severing my MCL and PCL. After about 15 minutes I went back to play because it felt like a bruise. The specialist also thought that because I was walking with a slight limp and thought I was faking it. 3 specialist's and 2 months later my PCP ordered an MRI himself and saw they were still torn and with the MRI I was able to have surgery. My latest injury was a right ankle sprain and again dr's think I am faking it because even though it swells up and turns colors, the pain still felt like a bruise. Happened on June 9 and every dr except the last one ordered therapy thinking it was a simple sprain. Even tho I knew something was torn, which later turned out to be my PFT and a grade 2 tear of my AFL" the 1 that usually tears in ankle sprains". I broke a bone in my wrist, don't know or remember when and tore the labrum in my right shoulder. My twin also has had injuries like these that we never are aware of nor feel it like others do. I know it is not CIPA since we feel cuts, scrapes, temperatures and so on. I wish I knew what if anything this could be. It's usually internal injuries that we don't feel grimacing pain like we should. Is there any other thing this could be called that is like CIPA but where you feel some pain?
