B12 Shot

I gave myself a B12 shot today, I dropped the needle but cleaned it off with a sterile pad. I'm sore and bruised on my hip, will this cause some kind of infection? I noticed the liquid was under the skin and I massaged it down. Should I worry?

Thanks for the advice! How often would you suggest to have a b12 shot?

hi,well may be you didn't peneterate upto muscle. Please take some pain killers like ibuprofen, diclofenac etc for 3 to 4 days and apply hot pad over injection site.

If the site of injection feels warm or hot to touch, probably it is the beginning of infection,in that case see a doctor for antibiotics prescription.

bye and take care!
