Battle to get out of box!

Hi, I have spent that last 10 years going back and forth to the docs with varoius health isuses including muscle pain, cramps, twitches, fitigue, bladder problems to name but a few. I have also sufferd from depression and stress, sadly this has always been the docs answer to my ill health and they have always refused to look at other causes. my syptoms come and go over time and my latest issues have been severe ankle and leg pain. finaly i got a referal from the docs to see a pshyo, I have tendonitus in both heels because I have sugnificant muscle wastage, they do not know if this problem can be fixed but they are going to try. they have told me that, with all of my other syptoms there has to be an underlying problem and sugested i see a neorologist as it may be MS.
So off i went to my docs, who told me there was no way she would refer me, I should except the fact I am depressed and stop pestering her!
I am now at a loss of what to do, could this be MS or am I just depressed?

Thanks for your reply, as of yet I have had no test at all, my docs have had no interest in my symptoms other than asuming its deppression, I have seen a doc at A x E when I was so bad I couldnt walk at all, he said that there was more to this than deppression and that I should be refered, my own doc refused to do so, I have now changed to a new GP who I am seeing today for the first time, fingers crossed he will not pigeon box me !
p.s the symptoms come and go no matter what my mood is, I have been ontop of the world and still sufferd, I have also seen a counseller who says I am not that deppressed at all, she doesnt think I need to see her.
thanks

Hi, Thank you for your question. If your all the clinical examination and investigation reports came back normal then it most likely appeared due to panic or anxiety disorder that you have faced during last event and currently experiencing. Cause of such panic disorder mostly remain unknown but in this disorder you may feel symptoms like shortness of breath, feeling of choking, pain in the chest, nausea, stomach ache, feeling dizzy, tingling or numbness, chills or hot flashes, bounding heartbeat or fast heart rate, sweating, shaking etc. even without any underlying disorder. This disorder needs to be thoroughly assessed by a psychiatrist first since this can occur repeatedly and without warning.  Treatments may include psychological and drug treatments, and depend upon extent of severity of symptoms. Most commonly psychological treatment tried is counseling, relaxation techniques and sometimes cognitive behavior therapy. Drug treatment depends upon treating the underlying depressive illness through anti-anxiety or anti-depressant medicines.  In addition, try to rest in a dark & quiet room, meditate, have a balanced diet, regularly exercise and avoid taking unnecessary non prescription drugs to avoid recurrence of symptoms. Hope this helps!!
