Brain Lesion

My 7 year old daughter three weeks ago complained of double vision and headaches.  Took her to the eye doctor he ordered MRI and CT scan. By the next day she had palsy type symptoms on the right side of her face.  The MRI shows a lesion between the third nerve and forth nerve.  She also had a very bad sinus infection on the left side.  They put her on antibiotics the symptoms went away but the lesion is still there.  They are saying it could be an inflammation or tumor.   Has anybody herd or seen anything like this? We have had another MRI yesterday the lesion is still there but it has not grown or gotten smaller.  They would like for us to do another MRI 4-6 weeks with CISS imaging or FIESTA imaging.  Could you explain what this type of imaging does?

No they do not have my daughter on anything.  People have asked if she was put on steriods, but they haven't done that, I guess for the fact that they can't tell us what it is yet.   We go at the end of March for the special MRI.  Hopefully they will be able to tell us something.

Have they put your son on anything?  Have you gone and gotten a second opinion?  Does your son still have symptoms?  What sre they?

My son has had very bad sinus infections from age 18 months to 4 yrs. At age 4 he had a tonsilectomy got his adnoids out and they put tubes in his ears. He started vomiting shortly after and got a limp on the right side.  At age 5 I started taking him to Nuerologists and they found lesions throughout his brain and on his spine. They still think it is inflammation but don't know how to treat him.  Do they have your child on any meds for this lesion?
