possible MS

I have been having some strange sensations in the top of legs. It feels like when you get goose bumps or get startled. It doesn't last long or hurt. I also had been having some twitches in my chin and cheek that seems to have quieted down alot. I seem to be healthy other than stressed over these feelings. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, it is too early to think for Multiple sclerosis. This could be simple calcium deficiency, vitamin B deficiency or anemia; even anxiety can lead to similar kind of symptoms. Please get blood electrolyte levels, vitamin B and peripheral smear of blood done.

Try anti anxiety medication for a week or so.

I wouldn't diagnose yourself if I were you. I don't know what makes your think it is MS, not saying it isn't, but there are many things thast can cause your symptoms, including a pinched nerve.

I was once told I had MS. They were wrong. I had all the symptoms (except lesions). I also was told I had a stroke...numbness and tingling in one side of my face, speech impairment, loss of feeling of feeling in my leg. So, I had what was thought to be clear cut symptoms of that as well. Test proved I did not. I was told it was a TIA...who knows. Then I was told I have a Chiari Malformation and would die without immediate surgery. Other than panic and constant crying over who would care for my child if I died, I wrote out my will and instructions on everything else.

It was in part true, but not to the severity they left me to believe. Turned out I was not going to die. In fact, I didn't even need surgery. Though I do have a Chiari Malformation it is a low stage and does not require surgery and probably never will. What I have that is the cause of the symptoms that had me diagnosed all over the board....is nerve damage from injuries to my back/spinal column from a car accident. Much better than the other diagnoses but it took time to get it right. It also took patience and being proactive in your own care.

So if the doctors I saw weren't even sure then me trying to guess was pointless,...just as it is pointless for you to try and guess. You'll make yourself crazy and waste time that might be precious in determing what is going on.

Don't let someone here diagnose you either. No one can, not even a doctor without the proper tests. Go to a doctor with your concerns and let the doctor order the test appropriate for the symptoms and go from there.
