MRI result

I recently reviewed the report from a brain MRI which I had (with Gadolinium) and my neuro said it was normal.  The report stated "there are increased signal on all imaging sequences within the diploic space mainly in the parietal regions which suggest some mild enhancement after gadolinium was administered.  No other areas of enhancement are seen."

This does not sound "normal" to me.  I am a 31 years old male and the neuoro had the MRI ordered since I had weakness/tingling in my lower left leg.  Is this anything to be concerned about? Thanks for the response.

Hi,
About 3 years ago i felt nauseous for about 2 weeks, seen my GP and was prescribed motillium for an upset stomach.
Immediately after this began twitching in both feet.
Gradually the twitching spread all over my body(literally everwhere). About 1.5 years ago , started to see eye floaters in vision. I dont have any muscle weakness but have experienced panic attacks and extreme anxiety. Dont know what to do?.

Curious to hear the dr.'s commments.  I am a 30 year old male, have had similar "tingling/sensation" on in my left leg and side for the last 5 months.  Had a full neuro exam (minus the mri) and dr. said it was stress or tightness in my hamstring/back. no ms or tumor, in his opionion. Thinking about going back to get an MRI, but have not done so yet.

It's impossible to accurately comment on an MRI that I have not personally reviewed. But what I can tell you is that diploe or the diploic space refers to the bony regions of the skull that contain little tiny veins and red marrow. It is very unlikely that enhancement of this region is the cause of your symptoms. It may simply be an incidental finding (no clinical significance) or simply normal. The problem may be in your lower back or nerves within the leg. Consider a formal neuro exam. This should be able to direct you to the appropriate next step as to further imaging of the spine vs. EMG. Good luck.
