Clonus like spasms

Hello,

I am 19(turn 20 in a week) and for 3 years I have had muscle spasms. They occur whenever I flex my right arm. (I also have random fasciculations that happen periodically. They started in a very focal point near my elbow, but over the years have progressed  down my forearm, my upper arm, back and chest. I recently went to the doctor who described my spasms as similar to clonus and ordered a mri and a emg which I am still scheduling. Of note I also have erbs palsy, a decrease in muscle bulk in my trapezius, deltoid, pectoralis, and right forearm, and also have slightly diminished sensation in my forearm. Although my muscle bulk is decreased my muscles are still strong. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar spasms where they always happen when you flex?

Anything helps,
Thanks

The spasms are probably occurring because you are compressing a nerve.  I don't have the issue, but know that nerve compression can cause pain and spasms.  Good luck!
