Couldn't Tolerate EMG Testing

I was unable to tolerate the EMG test.  The first electrode was put on my ankle and once it started I felt like I was in the electric chair. The doctor said she had never seen that kind of reaction in the 27 years of practice.  What does this mean?

I have not seen a neurologist yet.  I guess I should do that huh?  Thank you for answering me.

The only thing I can assume from the physician's statement is that this is NOT a normal response.  I had one myself and though it is uncomfortable I completed the testing.

What else did this Neurologist say?
