That could very well be, anticipating and almost looking and paying attention to every detail can drive you insane. I did it too for a long time. It's normal when you don't know what to expect. Try to get in asap that way you will give yourself a piece of mind.
My biggest thing that I am worried about is if it was a seizure or not...obviously only a neurologist could tell me, but it just frightens me that all that happened at once. The medicines my GP put me on were for my headaches but they've really done ****....I'm jsut more nervous aobut what it could be You know? like every once in awhile I'll get a tingling feeling down my arms or legs and I don't know a lot of this might not even be related it's just nerve racking...
Hi there,
Sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I am currently on Topamax, and have tried Verapamil. I'm now 105 lbs., and I used to be 135 only 4 months ago. There are different types of seizures. With these types of medications, there are many side effects they produce. I am not saying you did or did not have a seizure, like I said, there are many kinds, only a dr. can tell you that. I think a neurologist is a good idea, they are more knowledgeable in these medications and symptoms compared to the general practice. But a general practitioner is always the best way to start. When I was on Tegretol, I would wake up and not be able to talk, move, my eyes would move, and I would start to cry cause I couldn't move cause I thought I had a stroke. They went to carry me out of the house to take me to the emergency room, and finally I said no, just leave me alone I'm fine. And it was just that the medicine was too strong for me. So it's a scary thing, and these are strong medicines and can produce strong side effects especially when you don't know what to expect. The most common tests neuro's love are MRI's or CT's- MRI's are just long, noisy, you have to hold still. CT's are shorter, quiet, and still have to hold still for short periods of time. You might or might not need any, let me know if this helps, or if you have any more questions.Until then, hang in there!
