Do I need surgery or what?

Well, I had my MRI done today at hospital. I asked tech to show me MRI picture. I saw black spot on S1-L5 and the rest shows white. I don't know if that's normal or not? I took a screenshot of what it looks like... when you see picture, see black one? That's where mine is located at, excatly same one like that one. I hope you can answer my question. Thanks in advance! :)

Yeah, I have DDD also. And have mild idiopathic scoliosis as well. Thanks for your reply.

I wonder is Doctor here and I was hoping that Doctor will reply to my question?

Thanks :)

well i think that black represents a bluging of the disc and physical thearpy and some steriods should calm it down...i had cervical fusion 5 years ago and in my mri you could see the white specs where the discs literally exploded and there was nothing in between the vertibre...trust me i know disc problems are super painful but i don't think you will need surgery to get it under control! I still have three bulging in my neck that they can't do anything for but to treat the symptoms when they bother me and it's awful to say but with degenerative disc diease that's the way my world turns lol! Good luck and let me know what the doc says!
