EMG

I was wondering if there could be a reason why one EMG could be abnormal and than normal? Could it be just on how you conduct or decipher the test results? My first one was abnormal and just recently had another one for a different neurologist and it came back normal.

Thank you for the response. It was probably about 2 yrs. between the two EMG's. I'm not sure about the pinched nerve, but I am in the process of trying to get the report from the first test.
HoneyBFly81- Thank you for your response as well. I had them sticking needles all over me that I really couldn't tell you if tested the same muscles or not. I hope you are doing well.

Hello Dalle36,
Was the same muscle tested or was it a different muscle? From what I have heard, they can be suggestive.
I have had a few EMGs done myself but mine were all normal. I was diagnosed with Benign Fasciculation Syndrome. (Don't ever google muscle twitching.)
