Hi, I am a 38 year old healthy male, besides some high blood pressure. I was diagnosed around age 35 with essential tremor, due to small visible rest tremor only in my hands. I have a family history of Schizophrenia and Parkinsons, so at the time I was very concerned I was in early stages of Parkinson's.
Recently something weird has began happening, when anxious (meetings, speaking, etc.) I have noticed my voice goes VERY raspy and strained, also has a quivering tone to it. Does not do anything for my career as it sounds like I am scared sh-tless, when in reality I am just a little nervous or anxious.
I went to a ENT doctor and he never heard of the voice trembling thing in relation to essential tremor.
Is this early Parkinson's? Essential Tremor? I also started taking Benicar for my high blood pressure, any correlation to that? I don't know what kind of doctor I should even call to get help....
Also, I just remembered that I do get a weird trembling all over the back of my neck muscles very rare but also when I am very anxious....
