Foul smell and facial numbness 8 weeks following sinus surgery.

I'm pretty discouraged that I still have facial numbness and am smelling a foul smell following sinus surgery. Can you tell me what might be causing these problems?

I did. And he thinks it will resolve itself, but nothing seems to be happening. I did have an infection at around 6 weeks and the smell was even worse. But I was treated with antibiotics and a lingering smell exists, although not as strong.

You can ask your surgeon.  These are perfectly good questions for the one who did the surgery.

P.s. I get the facial numbness too to this day but I truly believe mine is my neurological issues.

I had sinus surgery years ago & can tell you I had that smell. Someone told me is was like the smell of blood. I guess that could be what it is. I have a friend with that too. It must be normal to have it for awhile. I think hers has been more than 3 years though. I sometimes smell exhaust fumes from cars (at least that is what it is like to me). Has been this way once in awhile since my surgery all those years ago.  That is just my opinions.
