LEG CRAMPS

Hello,

Hoping someone has the answer for me.In the last 3 months I have had charley horeses in my right calf at least3 times a week.Along with sharp pain in my foot and going into my lower back. But the past couple of days its going into the groin area. Its beginning to hurt to the touch.

I'm wondering if it is PN.I'm also Dx's with SLE,Raynaud's,Sjorgren's and Osteo Arthritis since 2001.

Thank you,
Mary

Hi...click on the forums button on the tool bar...top of the page...when the next page opens to the right is a list of expert forums to ask drs ?s.....they only accept so many ?s a day...so get up early....sometimes a dr will answer ?s here.....can not gurantee that tho.

As for ur other post with ur meds...ask ur dr if ne of them could cause an imbalance in ur minerals/vitamins.

Thanks for responding.Yes I take alot of meds.I've been on the meds for years so I don't think its from that but although my Rheumy did take me off of Methotrexate .I'm not sure if that would cause all the pain or not. Here's my meds:
Hydroxychloriquine  200mgs x 2
Nabumetone  750mgs x2
Folic acid  1mgs
Amlidipine  5mgs
Prednisone 7mgs.
Lyrica  50mgs x2
Baclofen 10mgs x2
Prop-N/APAP  100-650
Oxycodo-APAP 10-325

In the past I have had a Bakers Cysts behind right knee, sever right leg pain for 3months couldn't hardly step on it.Also Dx's with Inflammatory Arthropathy forgot that (brain fog).I'm just tired of pain.

Thanks for responding,
Mary

Hi Mary...sounds like a lot of autoimmune issues going on.
R u r on meds for ur Sjorgens or OA?.....

Low levels of Potassium can cause the charley horse pain u mention....u should have labs done to look for other low levels...like magnessium, calcium...or vitamin D or B12.

Godspeed
