Have you/anyone you know forgotten how to ride a bike?

I’m in my mid-thirties; I’ve been skateboarding for 30 years. Up until last Fall, I’d been skating at an advanced level.

Unfortunately, in mid-November, I spent my second time in a hospital for a manic episode—the first time was 11 years ago.

When I stepped back on the board last month, I could barely push around. My push is off, my balance is off, and my legs are weak. Even though I know what needs to be don’t to execute complex maneuvers, my body refuses to follow.

Is there anyone else who has experienced something similar?

I’m speaking with my GP, and I’m hoping to see a neurologist ASAP.
