what is the survival rate
Stefanie,
If you're still out there, I'm wondering if you got a second opinion? My husband was initially told that his GBM was inoperable, but the second neurosurgeon disagreed and operated. His GBM was over 7 cm and the surgery removed 99%. (However, If we'd had an earlier diagnosis, we'd have tried more natural methods - alkaline diet, for instance.)

Hi,
I can understand how you feel.
There are three factors that determine the prognosis of GBM: age, Karnofsky performance score, and treatment.
In patients less than 50 and KPS score less than or equal to 90, 5 year survival rate is 14%. Hope this helps!
