I have general weakness in my entire left side, left arm, shoulder, hand, as well as left side of my torso. I can raise my arm and rotate my shoulder, it is the weakness part. I also have a few disks in my upper back that refuse to move for physio.
Hi there. This sounds like a rotator cuff injury. Rotator cuff tear of the shoulder causes pain and weakness at the joint. Complete rotator cuff tear results in inability to raise the arm away from the side under your own strength. This is usually injured due to excessive force like trying to catch a falling heavy object or lifting an extremely heavy object with an extended arm. Consult an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation. Spine disc degenerative disease including, prolapsed disc or spondylosis also need to be checked clinically and with an MRI spine. Hope this helps. Take care.
