numbness in face and dizzyness

I am a 38 yo woman and occasionally i get numbness in my face, most commonly my lips. I also get light headed and am unable to concentrate or focus. I am forced to have a sleep as most of the time i am also having trouble keeping my eyes open. After a sleep of about 2 hours i generally am feeling fine. So my question would have to be Should i be worried?

do you have any other symptoms at all, even apparently unrelated?

muscular weakness?

do you remember recently of anything like

-cold/flu-like symptoms
-unusual headache / sinusitis
-watery nasal drip
-UTI
-loose stool

there is no reason to worry in the immediate. it could be a temporary disturbance which could last for a while but eventually regress spontaneously.

also consider that since your cognitive skills seem to be affected you should adapt your lifestyle by slowing down a bit... take your time to make decisions and don't rush to conclusions.

you should at least see your doctor and do Complete Blood Count.

your symptoms seem to be within the range of Neurology.

Have you had your thyroid and sugar levels checked out lately?  Have you seen your doctor about this?  Seen a neuro?

I'd recommend getting to the doc and finding out what's causing this.  It may be something quick to fix, but it's always best to find out as soon as possible prevent issues progressing.

Wishing you well.
