I just received the results of my MRI and I am looking for information concerning treatment options. (a second opinion from my doctor) I have severe sciatic type pain radiating from my lower back to my left foot, off and on for the past 6 months. Lately more on than off. I have tried two courses of medrol dose packs, heat to area, and changed my exercise routine from walking and Jazzercise to stationary bike and water aerobics. I am taking percocet at night to relieve the pain so I can sleep. I see my orthopedic doctor Tuesday and he has recommended PT and/or epidural injections. I
MRI RESULTS
IMPRESSION; 1. Multiple level degenerative disc disease at T11-12, T12-L1, and L2-3, L3-4, and L5-S1.
2. Mild grade I spondylolisthesis of L5 upon S1 which
appears to be related to degenerative facet arthritis.
3. Mild central canal stenosis at L3-4.
4. Moderate to marked central canal stenosis at L4-5.
5. Evidence of foraminal stenosis is present at L4-5
and L5-S1.
