is this sciatica...help

hi , ive seen a nurse this morning , who says i have sciatica , but im not convinced , please help ,,,for the last  two weeks , i have had severe pain across the bottom of my back , and into the calves of both legs , in the lst few days the pain has gone up my spine to the back of my head and left rib cage , i also have cramp in my wrists , can sciatica really cause all this ?

You ask an interesting question.

While sciatica could cause most of these problems you have a presentation that is not typical. I suspect the nurse is operating above her pay grade.

Sciatia, for example, is usually only on one leg, and has nothing to do withn the wrists. Nor does it cause pain in the back of the head.

My vote is the nurse is on spacechips and you need to see an M.D. for further evaluation.
