Another 2X1.9 cm hemorrhagic contusion noted on right frontotemporal region. Diffuse SAH noted involving both hemispheres. No middle line shift .Communited fracture of right tempral bone noted.

Hi,
How are you? Contusions of the brain cause minimal cerebral edema which can be treated conservatively, but in SAH surgical treatment remains usual step.
But in cases were patient’s cannot be taken up of surgery like in your mother’s case, then a drug called nimodipine can be used for about 3 weeks till surgery.

Clipping or endovascular detachable-coil treatment or coiling are two methods which are commonly employed. Unless the hemorrhage is completely resolved or removed the general status of the patient will not improve. In general, it the recovery is very slow. Once the conscious level, speech, recognition and eye movements improve then, intensive rehabilitation therapy, including physiotherapy, speech therapy and occupational therapy, are usually needed.
Best.
